PSD air/fuel ratio gauge difficult to see in the day time

I have a PSD air/fuel ratio gauge, but it's almost impossible to read it in the day time as it's too dim. At night time it's fine, though. At the back, there looks like a hole for a light bulb, so I was going to pop one in and see if that helps things out a bit. Does anyone have one of these and do you know what type of bulb/fitting is required to fit the hole. Also, if any of you use one of these, did this sort the brightness issues?

Thanks!

do you have a picture of it?  I guess you could use any bulb that is 12v and physically fits.

Hey Paul, I just tried to remove the gauge, but it's stuck in the pod pretty well. I can see the hole for the bulb - it's a circle about 4 or 5mm. I was wondering if there's a particular bulb type to fit in that space :)

does the gauge not have a manufacturer's name on it or anything?

DaBigGinger

It definitely doesn't have one on the front. I'm not sure where PSD sourced them from either. I might have to apply some brute force and remove it from the pod and have a play around with some fittings and see what does the trick.

oh right, an electronic one.  I'd be surprised if there was a way of backlighting it.  You'll need to remove the actual gauge from the pod and see what you can see.  Perhaps there'll be a pot to adjust the LED brightness?

No, there's nothing like that :( I've seen some mechanical gauges on the Demon Tweeks site, so I might give one of those a shot :) Thanks anyway!
