Been looking at the specs on the khumo v70a and the nangkang and the khumo's are E in the wet and the nangkang's are C. Can anyone explain this as the guy above said they were amazing in the wet???

I dont believe in them "ratings"

The toyo T1R was designed to improve dry and wet handling, getting classed on some websites as "Exceptional Grip In the Wet". They are rated as an E for wet weather, which is a load of crap as i have driven in the wet with them loads of times and a little too fast a few times but they never had any problems in the wet, even when going round corners fast in the wet they were great.

Plus demon tweeks have got them back in stock in 14's for £57 a tyre.

I must agree some do look a little unrealistic.
Cheers for that!! It's a shame there isn't much choice for 13" tyres now :-(

I run the nankangs on my g40, they seem to get grip well but skid very easily under harsh braking on rough roads.

I have 155/55/14 though :s

Anyone tried Bridgestone RE040? I am looking for better tires than federal og nankang for my 6x15 OEM La Castellet wheels! Want to go for 165/50-15 instead of 165/45-15 that I have on my 7x15 Intra wheels!

I used RE040 and RE050a in the past (but not on a Polo), and was very pleased with them. Good wet and dry grip, only real gripe was that they didn't last all that long.
