Single will be too loud for a supercharger

I had my turbo exhaust initially on my car whilst it was charged. 2.5"  straight through with backbox. It was so loud I enjoyed wearing my beats headphones whilst driving lol. It did sound amazing through tunnels though. It does have a middle box as a backbox so I get more ground clearance though. Still sounds fruity with the turbo, suppose it gives you a little idea of how it will be.

Hmm, cheers for the reply :)
im not sure, im used to loud, my aprilia dorsoduro vtwin was straight through, no baffles and used to set off car alarms it was so loud
Cars seem to echo the sound around the cabin
i dont want it to sound pants with twin silenced as the phil j system sounded like a chav sound
and the centre silencer was causing the system to sit low, dont know how well they sit in the tunnel on ppp ones
just a back box would give more room to push the system up in the tunnel :)
thanks for the info on loudness lol. Looks like a may be buying some headphones haha

The exhaust that came with the car was wrong and was a crappy gt one, yet sounded really throaty and raspy, much better than the phil j one

Mines a custom make one, not a PPP one. The ground clearance isnt great as it was made on another mk3 and it hangs low. Even trying to adjust it, it does sod all. Gonna get one made on the car after new manifold.

Mine used to set alarms off too, I did however ask for custom mounts on mine so its much higher for extra ride clearance

Taylor, you gain nothing over a single/twin ground clearance wise with our systems, as the single silencer still uses the outer shell of the silencer, just has straight through internals (we only paid for one jig initially this way).

As Jezza has already said, any 63mm stainless system will be loud on a supercharged car, the Bastuk exhausts had 3 silencers, and are still very loud. They sound the tits, but if you want to cruise down the motorway for miles, then a standard system would be better suited.

Single silencer on a supercharged car is mental IMO- but it’s up to you  :)

Also our center silencer boxes are shaped with tapers, so they don't catch over speedbumps etc.

Will try and dig some pics out for you

Cheers

Pete

As long as it's quiet enough for track use, I'm not bothered.  8)

When I went to Cadwell with mine on last month the guy didnt even bother to measure it after I revved it. Thats with a turbo though and I'm not sure whether its single or twin silenced. With a turbo they sound nice but are relatively quiet, unless its Hayeseys of course.
