The roads round here are my track.. and am a full time D!ck of a driver..

ive had light come on .. only when hard revvin on corners with the Gravel grip (cant remember proper name)

but a plan on replacing oil pump for OEM vw (advised by jezza) for hte g60 conv.

None of those designs look that good.

Pukka motorsport sump:

4 baffle plates with trap doors on each. I doubt aluminium fins have a great influence on oil cooling.

For the price of those aluminium ones, you could get an Accusump:

Which will work far better, something that I'll invest in this winter I think.

Thats a proper sump  :o

Just been reading about them accusump. I never knew they existed. Thats defiantly worth buying!

Do you know much about where the plump into yoof?

djtez

i was wondering this also ..

possibly a t peice into on pressure switch... hmm ..

Yoof

Yes, I can draw you a circuit if you want.

I'd probably use a remote filter take off, to an oil filter, thermostated oil cooler, and on the return line a t-off to the accusump, with a one way valve upstream.

Not massively complex, but does require some additional pipework and fittings.

You also get the bonus of an increase in oil capacity whilst retaining the sump size. Can even use a larger filter etc if you wanted to.

Jezza-7

Hmmm interesting. I think this is defiantly worth looking into.

Cheers yoof

Very professional yoof, do  you have Temperatures for the thermostat on Oil cooler ?

i was wondering what an 'ideal' temp would be ..

Jezza-7

Most oil stats open at 80 degrees. But you might be able to change it.

I looked at those ali sumps on MaxRPM but they are loads of money for what they are and i dont think that design is going to that efficient. In my opinion its hinged flaps or an Accusump system.

Have you looked into the Accusump system any further Yoof?
