What is the best way to remove the rubber mounts??

And then how to put them in? Was wondering if there is anything i have to watch out for?

Easy enough to do really, pride the old one out with a screwdriver.  Press the new one in with a vice using some wd40 to lube it up.

With the engine/gearbox mount, is there a reason why the spacer is that big? Does it need to be that big? Just im replacing mine with a stainless washer thats a little bit smaller.

I noticed this as I had to buy and old mount as I lost the inner bush, the hole in the inner bush pretty big for saying only a m12 bolt goes through it I did wonder why aswell.

Ok, tried using the vice method and no luck. Will it be harder for polyureathene mounts to go in?
