Thinner head gasket

I'm about to put my head on and was going to use the thinner head gasket, I've lined it up but instead of a single channel for the coolant the head gasket divides them into 2 separate holes.
Anyone else done this? Had overheating issues?

Cool, cheers dude. Found my old one and checked it against the new one, looks pretty similar.
