Hi Gang.

I've got a Co pot, but no seal. I'm going to put it in my custom boost pipe (post intercooler / before throttle body.)

I was thinking about cutting an original boost pipe for the fitting & bonding it neatly to my boost pipe. I don't really fancy paying BAR_TEK £30 for a pipe to cut apart, nor getting one machined. Seems like a lot of effort no be frank.

So, two questions:

1) Has anyone got the exact dimensions of the O-Ring seal I need?
2) Are the boost pipes with the fitting in hard to get hold of? (or are they often replaced for aftermarket items?)

Cheers  :D

I've got an original boost pipe (or two) in my shed. and i'll probably have a seal.  I think they are they same as blue/black temp sender seals.

That would be mint. If you happen to have the retaining clip too, it's a full house! Drop me a line when you get a chance and you've had a dig about. I need to get in touch with you about other bits & pieces anyway...

i think i have a clip too mate.

the only issue may be finding the metal rings that go inside the ends of the boost pipes... but if you only want the bit that the co pot goes into then it doesn't matter!?

Yeah that's all I need. I'll have some bespoke boost pipes bent and formed at each end (to create a rib.) I'll cut the boss out of the original, leaving about 25mm of the standard pipe all around it and use an etch primer & polyurethane bond to hold that onto my new boost pipe.

It's only seeing a bar of pressure - no great shakes. If I paint the pipes black and get the cut of the original neat, it'll look rate.

If they're aluminium pipes you can get the co2 pot fitting off ebay
