Cheap Powerflow exhaust

I have the old powerflow cat-back, single silencer exhaust I need to get rid of.

If someone turns up with £50, it's yours!  Pick up from Heywood, Lancs.

Note, this is a one-piece exhaust and the front to back length is 2.6 meters so make sure you turn up in a car big enough to fit it in.

It's the correct bore to fit right onto a g40 downpipe.  It's powerflow so it has a stainless silencer & tail pipe and a mild-steel mid section pipe.  It has a flexi piece in it which is in good condition.  There's no problems with it, no holes etc...

One slight oddity is that it has hangers on it to mount to the rear exhaust mount point but also hang from the rear axle using a rubber mount like this:

I always found that a bit odd although it did work.  If I were to use this again, I'd mount it using a metal strap around the back box onto the standard mounts - look at the pictures of the PPP exhausts in the PPP section to see what I mean.

As I say, cheap exhaust, £50 gets it!

Nowthen Hayesey,

Is it Ø2.25"?

Cheers,

Ross.

not sure Ross, I'll measure it this evening.  I know it fit right onto the standard g40 downpipe (this was the exhaust I had on before I went turbo).  It's been in my garage for years but it's dry in there so it's Ok.

Nice, cheers. Did you go bigger when you went turbo? My downpipe is Ø2.5" from the K03. I was planning to build a straight through two box system in 2.5" right through, but I'm worried it'll be too boomy. I built the same on a Punto GT once and it was just too much (for my ears today!! lol.)

I cant think that Ø2.25" would offer noticeably more back-pressure than Ø2.5" at circa 1300cc on a bar of boost, but (and I know there are two schools of thought on this) I was aiming for zero back pressure, as my exhaust manifold may restrict spooling a little due to it's 'shotgun' nature and volume. I dont need any more restrictions.

Blah.

this was the exhaust I had on when the car still had the supercharger.  Sorry I didn't get chance to measure it last night, will def do tonight though.

Noise wise, it was a pretty loud exhaust but that was with the supercharger, it'll be significantly quieter with a turbo.  The exhaust I have on now (a PPP one, which is bigger bore) is a single silencer too and it's not that loud.
