Recently had some work done by JNL Racing, they used to do Gwerks stuff at one point.  This is GOOD.  Stage 5 charger.  I sent it stripped without bearings and it came back ported and aqua blasted for about £150.  Stage 5 is pretty much as PSD full blend but done nice and smoothly.   Be interesting to see the results.  Would deffo recommend!

Looks very nice mate.

Very tempting to split mine and send if off before i rebuild it.

Might be worth doing my spare one if im gonna strip it down
looks a lot smooth compared to other companies about

Very nice, how easy is it to get hold of standard un-ported chargers, or can they port already partly ported ones?

PeteG40

Well stock casings are easy enough to find.. think taylor has parts if not whole.

Also they should be able to take out stage 4s to the level above.

I think this looks amazing, so good its like its factory!
Having just finished rebuilding my PSD full blend which i bought a few weeks ago I can't believe how messy the porting job is! can't remember mine being that bad back in 2004! but then maybe they started to rush them? either way the porting is pretty crappy on this one.

Had a look at my Jabba S4 as I took it off this afternoon and I have to say Jabba porting is far better and although more material has been taken out of the full blend at the end of the outlet port jabba have taken more off the supports on the outlet on their S4 porting. Anyway I think will do a comparison at some point but I was going to get an R1 from jabba on the charger I just took out but instead think I'll send it to JNL as it looks pretty bloody good. Top find!  ;D

This is my charger!

After doing my share of digging about I had doubts about where to send the charger after seeing so many negative reviews about roughly finished porting and rebuilds re-using original bearings and seals.

I spoke to Pete about porting and rebuilding the charger as he has a good reputation on the forums (and rightly so), of course he obliged and also recommended JNL for porting. I got in touch with Jean-paul at JNL and I really couldn't recommend him enough, just check out some of his work on Facebook. Jean-paul told me they used to do all the porting work for G-werks and also sent over a PDF of a Supercharger article he wrote published in PVW back in the day.

With both Pete & Jean-paul there was good communication right from the start, progress updates, a fantastic quality of work and both genuinely sound guy's showing enthusiasm and passion about what they're doing. Quite refreshing to see compared to so many other companies i've spoken to.

Do JNL offer a rebuild service too?

I assume this is the company: http://www.jnlracing.com/

I've heard he will if u supply a kit.

I do odd ones but I take me time!

JoeH

Interesting, have to contact them for prices.

Looks like they are engine building specialists!

JoeH

Did you have the outlet elbow ported to match as well?

So potentially could send of a stage4 to them and they'll port it to stage 5 and make it nice and shiny for £150? does that include posting it?
