Hi, new to the forum have owned several Golf GTI's and currently looking to purchase a G40 always wanted to own one.  Have seen this advert on gumtree http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/polo-g40-mint-condition/1049711411#photo-content

Obviously the bumpers and tinted windows aren't standard but does anyone know or maybe they have owned the car previously, is it a g40?  J474 NAD.  Judging by the advert and how it's written I would say it is not owned by an enthusiast.

Going by the photos on each of the adverts alone, I'd say that Barney's "Body and interior VGC" is significantly tidier than Connor's "absolute mint condition".

Yes I do prefer that one a lot more, is it still for sale though?  Will be looking to keep it long term and it will be garaged throughout my ownership.

Absolute rip off!! Not standard tailights for the year, not standard bumper, colour coded bottom bits only cam with genesis models

Yea 4.5k is a bit extreme, sure most of us wish they were worth that + bad boy!

Seen a lot better examples go for less, that left hand drive one for sale on here looks a good'n too.

I'd take the £3.5k one as it has all the work done to it and he quoted a 185bhp, thats probably about right. plus it cheaper to buy one like that.

Hasn't that white one been up for sale for a long time on ebay as well?
