Well I replaced my boots a few months ago with ones from GSF, but to be honest the quality was poor as one has already split, throwing cv grease over my new shiny parts
I also ordered a brand new NOS inner cv joint for a polo of my year, I was told they are all the same, but when I went to fit it the diameter was too small (though it fitted on) I'm now taking the driveshaft off to shot blast it and rebuild it properly. Where can I get a decent fitting boot and joint? Are the kits on ebay of any good quality and not get chewed up in five seconds
Are all joint definitely the same for g40's? Are there differences in between years?
Thank you

If you want the best quality then get yourself to VW parts - yes the boots more expensive but they will be the best quality.

They not obsolete then? Hmm if there is nothing else out there I have no choice. Just so dam expensive!

Febi boots well fitting in my experience

How much is a set of four inner and outer? GSF and camberly autofactores don't recognise one side is bigger than the other, just supply one sized boot, which is shit as you then have to fit a boot that is too big for the joint. Are the review ones sized?

PeteG40

They do inner outer and are handed too as one shaft is fatter. Will dig prices out

z3i

Yeah sorry that's what I mean, they supply the big driveshaft size only
Awesome!! The inner ones have the metal bit the bolts go through too?
Thanks Pete :)

left outer kit - 191498203C - £6.50
right outer - kit 871498203A £5.50

left inner kit - 171498201A   £10.00
right inner kit need to confirm price - but expect £10 - its for 861498201  not the g40 spec 871498201A   - why a boot is g40 spec tho?! and just the right one!
