Polo GT Calypso Green .. Very Clean

Up for sale is my pride and joy of the last year and a half. It is a 1991 Polo GT in Calypso green. It is an excellent car all round and a real joy to drive. Always puts a smile on my face. The car has always been looked after very well, the pictures should speak a thousand words.

Engine:
Original GT engine which has covered 141264 miles with Fahrvergnugen tuning chip with limiter raised to 7300rpm with dewedged Throttlebody.
In July 2012 the headgasket was done, The cylinder head has been rebuilt with a skim, new valves (where needed), new valve stem seals and guides done. The bottom end is very good and still pulls well and drives fantastic. The cat has also been removed and cleaned out inside (virtually a decat).
A brand new distributor, ignition coil and full service including oil, filters, spark plugs and Racing HT leads was carried out all at the same time with a Pipercross panel filter. The car will be serviced this week again before sale.
According to the previous owner, (his thread is on here and I will find it if need be) the cambelt and water pump had been done, the oil pump cover gasket, main seal and sump gasket have been replaced so no leaks as well as a new fuel tank.
Also has G40 239mm Vented discs fitted with EBC greenstuff pads. Standard exhaust system with a cherrybomb backbox, not too loud and raspy but has a nice sound with a pop every now and again whilst changing gear. When cold started, the car idles up to 1800rpm but after 5 mins or so settles back down to around 1000rpm.

Suspension and bodywork:
The underside is solid as can be and properly undersealed. The arches had also been rolled professionally all round. The car sits on H&R cup kit with a 35mm drop all round. The previous owner had changed the top mounts and fitted new ARB blocks. Please note the car wont come with the rear strut brace. For a 22 year old car, the bodywork is very good. The previous owner said it had a respray which is a decent job but not exactly the best. The entire body is very clean with no major rust anywhere. The only rust signs are in the pictures. There is lacquer peel on the bonnet which is mildly bad, and the roof has a bit worse case of lacquer peel. The windscreen washer tank has also been moved under the scuttle if you were wondering why the engine bay looked so empty tongue.gif. The car sits on BBS RZ I think they are, powdercoated in white with very good tires all round.

Interior:
Is original GT, which is good condition. Pretty clean all round to be honest, driver seat a bit dirtier than the rest but still I have given it a full valet so it is clean. The only tear is on the rear bench near the top part of the centre but not greatly noticeable. Doorcards are very clean. The car comes with a Pioneer head unit and pioneer speakers upfront and 6x9's on the rear shelf.
