Stalling/ Cutting out

right so i bought a g40 today and after running about town it started to jolt about then cut out. I tried restarting at and nothing but after a couple of minutes the problem had cleared, it kept repeating this for a while then was fine but has started doing it again. A couple of minutes after it had cut out we were standing outside the car (with the ignition left on) and and out of nowhere the fuel pump primed itself. At first when i was going along the street i thought it would be a clogged fuel filter, but hearing the pump randomly prime makes me think a bad connection on the fuel pump? or maybe a dodg relay? any help from you guys is appreciated, cheers!

sounds like a loose connection maybe. Check the connectors behind the glove box. Especially the white one as the supply for the fuel pump goes through there and it's just push-fit there's no clips or anything holding it in so they have been known to come loose before.

Cheers man but it seems to be a problem with the spark, the coil isnt drawing any current, any ideas why?

and the fuel pump isn't working sometimes either?

Could be a problem with the ECU relay perhaps? Make sure both the relays clipped to the side of the ECU are pushed in properly and working OK.

Both realys seem fine and i just replaced the halp sender! I will check if there is a supply to the coil tonight, if there is then the coil must be the problem but if not im out of ideas!

dodgy coil isnt going to cause fuel pump issues though.

when you say the relays seem fine, what have you done to check them?

Seems to be plenty fuel getting thru its the spark thats the issue, you can feel the relays clickeng wen the ignition is on and you cant feel a click wen it cuts out. There has been an aftermarket immobiliser fitted and removed at some stage but from what i can see there isntany bad conections, but who knows! Ive been at it a week now and still no progress so think ill let a garage have a look at the wiring, im sick of the sight of the thing in my garage haha!
