Interested- what map is in it, and what makes the turbo a 'hybrid'?

Cheers

Full pics can be found in my build thread in the photo gallery.

I was told it was a hybrid turbo by the seller, I assume that from the standard spec T25 (from whatever engine it came off) had had either different exhaust or inlet housing, to change the A/R.

I have full pics of all markings of the inlet/exhaust housings and the CHRA.

Also with regards to the map, again no specifics, it has been marked with G40 turbo on the chip, it doesnt have any apparent flat spots throughtout the rev change, pulls well in all gears.

The car is currently untaxed, but can be taxed and test driven (by me) if a trip out is required :)

Yoof

Sounds like it's just a standard T25 then with a mix of casings- could you get me specs please  :)

If the map is generic for stock injectors I presume?

grungeisdead

compressor side is .48 i think

lots of burnt oil and oily residue behind the heat shield

the compressor side

shaft after removing old oil seal but before cleaning out the grooves

new stepped oil seal fitted

Currently running stock injectors yes

Okay- its a PSD chip originally done for Marshall's car, not really a turbo spec map but should be okay on full throttle.

Did you get to the bottom of the problems with the setup?  Have you got any pics of the sump condition?

Cheers

I will take pictures tomorrow evening for you of the full setup, including the bottom of the sump. I assume your interested for scrape marks? The car wasn't massively low and only got tickled a couple of times. Or do mean dropping it?

the lammy pre heater wiring for the ecu was goosed, Ran the narrowband input of my wideband to the ecu and it was back to normal, properly scrolling on my narrowband afm as well.

Swapped it out ( the loom ) and cleaned up the contacts on the ecu and it was sweet again but tax ran out and I've popped it in my unit to tidy up a few bits ( fit an ss exhaust and other odds n sods ) but toying with the idea of chucking my NA hybrid in or converting the golf to big block mounts.

Still got my 170bhp g lader setup and got hold of a ko3 to try, as well as the afh avy hybrid,  few py heads and bottom ends but not enough cars to put them all in!
