Driveshafts

Anyone know if G40 driveshafts are any different to 1.3 breadvan ones? I just snapped one and have a bready one, they look the same between the two cars but I noticed my mate's G40 seems to have a thicker Golf GTI style one (maybe mine came with the wrong shafts?)

Unless your mate has an uprated one?

It is looking like an uprated one on my pal's.. Folks round local doors seem to think they're the same so great, looks like I do have a spare shaft. Will have to buy a spare and have that one uprated. Seems this may happen quite often. Thanks.

I belive the mk2 items are thinner than mk3 and obviously uprated are thicker again.

Comparing the shafts off both cars, the mk2 and mk2f or 3 whatever you want to call it are the same to look at but who knows.. They may not be original..
