Random g60 question

Afternoon guys very random question I've been offered a g60 engine that just needs a head gasket and she can't be bothered to do it do she's offered it to me.the question is how much work is involved to drop the engine in my polo.any answer would be greatly appreciated thanks matt

put it this way, if a garage was doing it... i'd expect about £6,000 or similar.

I no its not the same but I rebuilt my latest g40 from scratch brought a rolling shell and upgraded everything me and a good friend do this as a hobby would it be something a random person could do rather than a garage

tall block engines just don't fit into a polo without a lot of work and fabrication.  Be best off getting a mk2 golf and stick the engine in that.

Would it go in a golf alot easier then mate

yes they came with them as standard so given the correct engine mounts it'll go right in.  You'll need all the ancillary parts like ECU, wiring etc...etc...

My best friend had donated me her corrado she doesn't like it and I realised the ralle was a g60 So yer your idea makes good sense

they made normal golf g60s too.

Ah realy they didn't realise that so like u say I can get mounts aswel
