Afternoon all,

I'm currently having some plastic windows made for the Polo, but need to retain all the glass for exact measurements.

Has anyone successfully removed the glass from a bonded 1/4 light without cutting the rubber?

Cheers

i had a go with heat and a stanley and go no-where!

why not use a cl spec rubber?

Yoof

Yeah that's backup plan (does anyone have some cl spec non-bonded ones I can buy?)

Was trying to keep it stock looking as I'm paying extra for green oem tint and proper rear surround etc.

I've had them soaking in near boiling water for an hour and they're still not budging!

Yoofy - back home now, fairly sure I have a G40/GT rubber on its own but it was a fecking pain to get away from the glass. Think you'll need to use something different though, as none of the quarter light seals are designed to have an uppy/downy window going in and out of them. Mk2 Golf rubbers might be the best shout?
