MK3 GT glowing manifold and tapping injectors.

Ok so ive just fitted a SS 4 Branch. as my exhast manifold gasket was blowing, so took it as a cue to get the manifold on when i replaced the gasket.

How ever the exhaust tapping was masking the sound that i have now identified as the injectors tapping.

about 2 minutes after starting and sitting at idle, the manifold began the glow getting brighter and brighter.

i drove home and once there was abit of air flowing about it seemed to cool as when i arrived home they were no longer glowing.

Could these to symptoms be a sign of running lean as that is what spring to mind?

any help much appreciated.

Sounds more like timing out Liam;exhaust valves open during ignition stroke.

will double check cam timing, almost certain its dead on though :S
