s.e-power

I need to know the degrees of the P3 camshaft from PitStop.   Someone can help me???     I have a camshaft pulley with regulation and I want to assemble`ít in my car Correctly..Please

hayesey

you'll probably have to get it measured.  Pitstop never told people the specs of the cams they sold when they were in business.

P3 doesn't mean anything to me, do you know if it's what was sold as a "turbo" cam, "eaton" cam, "1341" cam or something else?

PeteG40

i *think* the p3 was the PSD turbo cam which i'm led to beleive is a 260/260 and the psd cams have the cam pulley wedge in the oem position.

My eaton cam has P2 on it - so you can rule out the eaton. god knows what degrees it is!

hayesey

If it's a turbo cam then it's probably a 268/268

PeteG40

er yeah - hayeseys right - ignore my 260s!

G40_POWER_AD

a camshaft with 273/283 it is good ?

s.e-power

camshaft not have the same degree and so says pitstopdevelopments P3

I've been looking into a turbo cam for a while, choices for me that are easily available are the catcams 265/265 iirc or getting a newman one made up from phil J although after lance snapped one i've not been tempted by one of them.

If the pit stop ones are 268/268 is that really the most aggressive duration/lift you can go with a turbo?

hayesey

it really depends what turbo you are using.  the psd cam is good for use with a K03 where you want to try to stop it spooling too soon and move the power band up the rev range a bit, not so good with a bigger turbo, you'll get loads of lag.

Cheers mate, ill speak to Catcams see if they can make it to PSD spec as Im going k03

hayesey

why not just speak to newman?  Ok so one person snapped one, it's happened before with other makes of cam.  Most (if not all) of the k03 turbo conversions, including myself, will be using newman cams.
