front springs are just in a box on the shelf, so if your ever passing in manc give me a shout, can always bung them in the post as itll only cost 8 quid by courier to post.

will let you know if i get hold of some rear shocks.

also got std front shock inserts if you want them to, standard, and again yours for nowt

PeteG40

cheers mate - will see what i can do

but standard g40 are oil filled and not inserts???

grungeisdead

they came from Karmann (Matt) and were taken out of his front struts from his original G40 when he put the Koni kit on. All early polo front struts have inserts surely?

MartinB

Standard items are filled with oil. The inserts sit in the strut housing where the oil would have been.

grungeisdead

how can the struts only be filled with oil though? dont you mean the insert is filled with oil? and there is some oil inside the hole for the insert, to take up any free space. (its the manky shit that smells like ass when you take out the insert)

PeteG40

no they have no insert.. the whole of the leg is filled with oil and the 'insert' is just the centre push rod with seals etc on the end

ahhh right! intamaresting! learn summat new every day :)
