Gear linkage again

Evening I've got my mot on Thursday and I Can't get me gear linkage right again. I have 1st 2 nd 3rd 4th and 5th but for some reason I have no reverse I did It Last  time but I've put my engine in another shell and the mark I made had vanished lol so any advice would be awesome many thanks matt oh and for some reason my 1st gear is where reverse should be

You just need to use some lateral thinking as you adjust it. Move the linkage further clockwise on the arm (looking towards the box) and then engage reverse. Once you have the box in reverse you know where the stick should be so you can loosen off and reset. Try and visualise the effect rotating and sliding the linkage will have.

That makes sense I had no problem last time but it's just being abit akward this time thanks for your help that's a big help mate

Try putting it into reverse on the gear box then get some to move the gear stick to where 1st gear would be (top left) as you slide it into linkage.
Tighten up then you should have all gears!
