Etches

Right after a heavy 30 runs at Pod my engine was playing games on the way home :( . Too much abuse me thinks.

The problem is, when at low speeds mid throttle after a while if feels as if all the power drains and the car begins to slow down.

Ways of putting this off are withdrawing all throttle then replacing it, full throttle or going above 70mph at about 3500 revs.

It makes it difficult to drive around town. The idle has now changed from a steady 1050 rpm to about 900 then dies.

My air fuel gauge has stopped working so i dunno wether thats to do with anything either.

Down the strip i managed to loose a fair bit of oil, but i wasnt burning it, seems like theres some leaking from the intercooler to charger pipe is this a sign of seals going?

Cheers for any help/advise

if your afr gauge has stopped working then it could be a lambda fault.  see how it runs with it disconnected.

900rpm is more like what the idle should be though, 1050 is too high

could also be a duff battery/alternator without sufficient power the ecu can ignore sensors.

Turns out it was the AFR gauge, seen as it disconnected itself down at pod as the facia kept flying out as i changed gear. It meant that the lamda sensor was either shorted out or just disconnected all together causing massive overfueling!

All that needs to be sorted now is the leaking oil, what are the tell tale signs the seals have gone?
I know Tom rebuilt this charger not long ago with pete.

sounds like a seal has gone if it's leaking out of the intercooler unfortunately.

PeteG40

he didnt do it with me, i explained it to him and he did it himself with parts he sourced through his work.

Ouch sounds like i need a rebuild then :(
