HELP please.................

hi all i started my G40 up today and drove around 2 miles down the road it was missing and when i put my foot down to pull away from the round about and it cut out totally... wouldnt restart, i got towed home and loooked at the spark plugs, there 2k old same as the dizzy so i no there fine anyway, but there is such a weak spark on the plugs, there is a small crack in the coil pack so im guessing its that or the HT leads.....

what coil pack will i need the G40 is in a 6N here is a pic of it, i no i need G40 ht leads

BTW it splutter under full throttle then got to low down and cut out

g40/6n coils are the same btw

yeah a coil for a 6n and g40 is the same.

Ive got another coil its used but it worked when i took it off and i'm just down the road from you so give me a bell think you've got my number already

Iv only just read this after iv go then but thanks dude...

Righ iv fitted ht leads and coil bust still nothing, it's got a spark and fuel what could it be??

I disconected the ecu and re connected it and when reconnected the relays clicked so I couldn't of blown it could I??

Id check the relays. If the fuel pump relays died, the engine will turn and thats it.

Iv checked the relays it fired up then ran but wouldn't rev.. The pump wouldn't prime, I'll take a ic of my fues box now.,

G40 fuse boxes are totally different. I believe the 6n uses a CE2 fusebox, common with other VWs such as late mk2 Golfs, and various Passats and Corrados etc. I think the pin outs are different between variants too, but it's normal for the relay holders to be half empty, depends on the spec and options/accessories fitted.

Could well be the coil. They can sometimes splutter under full load if they're on the way out. Also change the leads for a known good set, particularly the king lead.

iv changed the coil and leads for brand new items.... the ( no* 18 ) relay cicks on and stays on but the ( no* 167 ) wont click on.... could this of blown~?? im going to get one tomorrow if not what els could it be??

i belive i dont need a fuel pump relay as iv got a fuel pump swich seperate but will i need the standard one to get it to fire??

could it be ecu relays?? even thow i have a spark and fuel???

Right my fuel pump relay won't click on iv also found these two relays the look naked...

What are they for?? Could this stop my G from running??
