dont think so to be honest ive put 20 since i drove it and naw theres oil on my chassis leg?

xandyx

maybe the oil breather is clogged and spills oil from the dipstick, or evene the oil breather got loose with engine pressure.

rochey88

rite... ordered a new cam oil seal and a new crank oil seal hopefully that may fix the oil leek problem.

if not wot else would cause the car to throw oil out of the dipstick??

ive replaced the following

leads.... dizzy.. rota arm.. ? and shes still sutttering ive got new plugs for her which im putting in tomoz any ideaS?

PeteG40

oil out of the dipstick is sometimes due to blocked breather - or blocked hose coming from it (or too small diameter)

also the paper crank seal goes too as well as the round oil seal ont he crank.

are you running boost return mod - is oil from your throttle body?

rochey88

IVe cleaned all the breathers out.

ive had a new seal round the crank case the paper one

no the boost retern is standad not been modified

rochey88

still splutterin :( and other ideas...?

put new plugs new leads new dizzy new rotar arm?

the power is there its just it splutters? at low revs?

could it be a hall sender or knock sensor?

Have you tried another coil on your car they can give you issues when there getting ready to go kaput

rochey88

are they the same on a 1.4 mk2 ibiza?? a polo engine??

rochey88

should my throttle bodie have oil in it ??

grantvw

I wouldnt know without looking i know they changed them as i replaced mine a while ago and had to make a new earth cable as the original was to short

Yoof

Nope! That won't be doing the contacts in there any good. I'd clean it all out and then check continuity on full throttle over the ECU pins (Haynes has the pin out for this)
