GT/G40 Coil Upgrade

I'm planning on upgrading my GT's coil to a mk2 GTI Digifant coil. Did it on my last car. The how to used to be on this site.

The how-to was for a G40 btw!

Anyone know where it is or if they can point me in the right direction.

well if you really want it, it's here:

but it's generally well accepted now that it's no better than fitting a new polo coil.

does it make any difference swaping it for a GTI one?

no difference over just putting a new polo coil on.  Possibly a difference by replacing a 15+ year old coil with a new one.
