worth also noting that 'juan' also looked to remake some psd phase 2's which may differ in spec and quality

Ah right, mine are phase 2 but with no guides on them.

Jezz how many miles you done on them? whats the wear like?
Just spoke to Pace Products and they said they wouldn't be able to do them or have any information about the old ones unfortunately.
Quite un sure wether to go for the Hard Ally/ Soft Anodising or the Soft Ally/ Hard Anodising. They did say the hard anodising slowly wore away due to road grime which exposed the softer ally beneath it and wore them. Where as the soft anodising would come off quicker, the harder ally would be stronger long term.

I`m not too sure on the grades of alloy available for them Justin but as i have it the most common grades are T4 & T6.
At a previous work place called Taylor Bends who have Mandrel bending machines and tend to buy T4 as its soft and bends easily.
If they can only source T6 then a trick to bend it without ripping it apart is to rub Imperial Leather soap around the area to be bent
and heat it till the soap turns black. This indicates the correct temp at which point they Quench it and it pretty much becomes T4.
Then it bends without ripping apart.
Therefore i`d say that T6 or higher grade would be best for the pulleys then also hard anodise.
It is also worth mentioning that T4 becomes T6 with age as it age hardens so hence why such as old Alloy mountain bike frames
eventually crack.

I`m sure you know the Grades of Alloy though Justin if your in Engineering and will put me straight if different.

Regards, Fred.
