Bilstein Uprated G40 Dampers - New Unused

Again, as the title says I have a set of front and rear Bilstein uprated dampers for a G40.  I bought them with the intention of fitting to my G40 when the originals gave up the ghost.  They have never been fitted to a car, I have the instructions, all parts and original boxes.

All too many people think you MUST have adjustable dampers for the road.  I don't agree with this.  If you do track days or own a track car then you need adjustable dampers so that you can change your set up for different tracks etc.  If you use your car on the UK roads you probably just want a tuned and slightly uprated, non adjustable, set of sports dampers.  Which is what these are.  I used to work for Tom Walkinshaw Racing as a chassis engineer (many years ago now) so I do know what I'm talking about.

Bilstein make excellent dampers, they are manufactured in Germany.  Don't think I need to say anything else.

You can't buy these anymore so I'm not sure how to price them.  I would say they are worth £300 new.  
I'm not trying to rip anyone off so £150 plus postage (circa £12 but I will just charge this at cost).

Can you please let me know how much firmer these are than standard. I find the the original setup far too soft with body roll a bit of a joke. What springs would you use with these, Eibach???

These will work with standard or lowered springs.
I can't put a number on how much stiffer they will make the car as this isn't quoted and I don't do 'pub' engineering.
They are an uprated road specification, so they won't give you whiplash when you go through a pot hole.

i bought billsteins b4 to fit my car, bue i want to lower the shocks for better fitting with my 40mm weitec springs.

b4's have been made only for all 86c except g40 because they are 20mm higher than standard g40 shocks.

can you measure the piston length and tell me they'r size? i want to machine mine to make them lower.

or if someone know the size of billi's b8, that would a greatfull help.

if i knew before i would deffinetly buy these!

They are good quality dampers for a polo G40. Simple.
