One g40 con rod

I'm after a con rod and matching cap as the machine shop fucked up n lost the cap from mine they then replaced it with one from there parts bin but it's not the same !! So if anyones gt a single rod they wanna sell me please pm me thanks

Sorry I can't help with this, but I hope you got a bloody good discount after they lost the cap!! Did they offer to source a replacement for you?

I havnt got hold of them yet only found out today when I torqued up the beg ends sand when I did the final one the crank locked up on closer inspection the cap isn't the same colour , has t got same numbers and the audi rings on them are different size. It's definatly that cap as it all worked before I sent it to them ( well it span anyway ) it's the only thing that looks different and it only tightens up when that cap is done up abd I've tried changing the bearings. The cap even rocks backwards and foward over the shell where the cap is smaller than the shell !!
     Bit pissed of as there a good engine shop abd I asked them to check that everything was fine for me to fit up the short motor and they charged me for checking it !! The bloke on the phone did say check the rods on the crank wich I think is a bit suspect hopefully they will either compensate me or get me a new rod but if not I want a rod so I can't put my motor back together !!

Got one now thanks guys, but it was uneeded as the bearing caps where actualy numbered wrongly I have sorted the problem now but I'm glad I didn't run the engine as I bought it !
    Realy wanna know if I can use my big end bolts again I torqued em up had to undo them to swap caps around dnt realy wanna buy new ones dnt know how they can stretch with just 30nm then 90 degree turn !?! Any one know would be most appriciate it
