My god was it busy this weekend, had to queue for 45mins plus to get a run, it was packed and the fact that motorbikes were also running didn't help.

I struggled with my car, just wouldn't hook up properly and ended up with 14.2secs and 103.7mph terminal, was hoping for high 13's but the car didn't grip as i had it in road trim with tyres which are made from nylon!

Andy

13.6s.

The piss-take was there were only a few cars doing the night racing later on - and today there were just a handful too. Would've been nice if they'd said to VW-owning RWYB-ers that they could have a free go today.

Guess you got home okay then Hayes!

My best time was on my last race against nick (who majorly struggled with traction) lol. I got a 15.0, pretty happy with that considering the mods im running.

hayesey

Yeah got home fine Andy, fooking lucky that hoof brought a spare drive shaft!

Robin

I didn't realise that they did the running today as well otherwise i would have stayed and wacked Hayeseys wheels on!

ARSE!!!!!

Good news on the cv joint hayes, glad it wasn't the diff after all!

hayesey

nah it wasnt rwyb today, was supposed to be pro-street cars but was a bit of a mix but hardly anything running.  the night racing was good to watch last night, although again, wasn't rwyb

This happened to mine before coming down! Changed it before but didnt fancy risking it on the stip! Only managed to have a chat to andy , had a trot up to the campsite but it was empty! Enjoyed seeing polos at santa pod for the first time! Also enjoyed andys wipin the smile of one of my mates with a mk1 golf with abf on bike carbs :)

i have just got back in now, seen andys car do a 13.6 which was class. hayesey i was wondering why your car was just parked up down the bottom, was gutted as i wanted to see it run.

the rwyb was just vw last year am sure, which ment it was far less busy so you could get more runs. i wasnt happy about bikers running loads on just bog standard bikes.
i totally agree about the night racing though they should let other (vw) people join in!

still loved the show though its my favourite show of the year!

If you are referring to me Mr Yau, I got a 14.9 @ 97mph by my final run of six. The first 2.7 seconds of that was spent in the first 60 feet :D

Pretty pleased I got into the 14's after my first time on a strip. Just need to get this old 8P off now and fit my g40 box with LSD. Some fresh rubber will be a must too in order to improve traction in 1st and 2nd.

My 60feet times were similar, the best one was 2.5seconds and the worst was 2.9 which resulted in a 15.1 seconds quarter.

Any other times from opponents raced with?

I had my second run against the black BMW 135 coupe which got a 14.4, I saw the black R5 GTT get a 16.1 and got chatting with the owner of the Noble which got consistant 12.9s
