anyone know of any decent ones available, need to buy a new one, anyone know anything about the ones on ebay tbh they look cheap and shit but i thought id ask anyway.

I've thought about buying a slim electric fan like some of those advertised on ebay.
After a bit of thought though, I reckon the O.E. one is a pretty good setup. The standard two speed fan and metal shroud may not look very nice but the shroud does improve the flow of air to the radiator.

quick question! the fan has two speeds? I believe mine is broken then cause I have never seen it changing spreed, it's either on or off in my G40

they need to be VERY high temp to see the second speed.

Well in the past few days my g40 seems to have developed a habit of working at around 100oC when I am driving fast, but then again the external temperature here is 40oC I definitely need an oil cooler to keep thing nice and cool!

i bought a second hand one from volksmagic for £25 it was off a mk2 golf, the motor is a tad longer than the polo but has exactly the same part number, works perfect.
