exhaust help

rite, i have a polo 6n with a g40, the exhaust is loud, its currently 4 branch, cat, 2" to 3" tail, recently police have been fining all my friends for loud exhausts, and they have 2 weeks to sort it. ive tried making mine quieter but theres just no space underneath to fit anything! i was going to get a bigger back box but will this be enough to make it legal?
silencers dont fit! lol any ideas guys?

there must be room for a mid-box, a 6n has a mid box normally.

you would have thought so but it doesnt! barely had the space for a cat!
