New problem: Oil pressure light is on and beeping!

Im going to invest in a oil pressure gage me thinks.

how exactly do they fit? never done one before...

it's a worthwhile investment, every g40 should have one!  Best way to fit is to tee it into the oil pressure switch in the head that doesn't currently have a tee piece on it.

No mate, I'm saying that if the splash plates WERE fitted and there was oil splashing about that might be the problem.

i had this problem and it turned out to be a small rubber bung that fits between the oil pump and the plate it butts up against. its only a small gap and cant really be seen unless the oil pump is off which is a pain
