I know what you mean about them sitting idle in a garage, it does seem a shame.
However, if you love cars and have an awful lot of money then why not buy them? If he starts using them, even on very rare occassions they will depreciate. He's bought them as an investment so unused they should stay. It'd be great to see some more pics once he has them serviced and fully valeted, they're stunning cars.
It's funny looking at the tyres on the M3 though. They were probably thought of as really low profile back in the early 90's. Now they look almost like balloons!

Cars should never be investments they should be enjoyed even if he only drives the baby's a few miles a year to keep engine and mechanical parts in good working order.

Yes please! Near the top of my lottery win car list. Not at all fussed with an M3 though, RS2 instead.
