Hey,
Ive recently noticed something that could be a missfire? basically from cold when I start it once it sorts itself out if I hold the throttle down for a bit there are like little pops from the exhaust. It doesnt sound like its trying to stall and after a few minutes the idle is fine and drives fine. The same happens if I drive the car and leave it to cool for around an hour or two, when I start it up again after a minute it starts to hunt (occassionally stalling) but if i hold it up for a few minutes I can drive away and it drives fine. Also get little pops then too. Could it be a slight misfire? maybe a little tweeking of ignition timing?

thanks

try disconecting each injector when you start the car in cold one at a time, you should notice a misfire when you disconect each injector, if you get no change in tone when you disconect one then thats usually the one misfiring. also check blue temp sensor just for good measure, mine was doing similar to yours and it ended up being this.

did yours running a bit rubbish from cold for a few minutes until it sorted itself out? ill have a go at disconnecting the injectors to see what happens. In terms of checking blue temp can I use a voltmetre to test the resistence? should I check this when its hot? or cold? how man ohms?

I know the blue temp sends a signal to the ecu but what does it tell it?? how is it linked to the running of the engine?

Thanks mate

hmm, this sounds interesting! I hope this isnt happening but I cant say ive noticed the coolant level dropping. If this is happening id see a different compression in one of the cylinders right? so is it worth checking the compression just for a laugh?

Thanks for the input!
