Is it worth getting a HID Kit? I know where i can get them for mk3 polos but is it worth it?

Has anyone done it and recomend it?

What does, Show car use only (fully legal if you have projector lamps/HL. washers/self levelling)

hayesey

it means they aren't legal to use on UK roads.

hid are very gd man
i have some fitted to my car there are a great mod
1 problem the bulbs can give you problems but if you buy a gd kit they come with a warranty so you have no prob
also when buying the kit you need to know what K you want dont go to high they can look very chavy stick to a 6000K or a 8000k for a silght blue tinge

Do you know of any good places to get them from, part from ebay?

xenonsonline have a membership overon clubpolo. they can normally sort you out with a discoun code
i personally favour the 5,000 Kevlar as its the whitest.
Google hid kits and veiw images for ideas.

I think most om hids come with 4300kto be honest.. more newer bmw's and so on are starting to use u to 6k.
4300 will look good on a coupe as i think the colour would match the age and look most natural.
very white with sight yellow etch.
but the link above looks a good deal!

Yeah i know what you mean about looking natural. I think i will get them ones though as they seem to be the best price that i have compared with others.

Do you need crystal clear headlights to run these? i seem to remember someone telling me the standard mk3 headlights distorted the lighting from hids?

you dont NEED them, but have you ever seen a chavvy corsa or saxo coming towards you with blue lights and thought WTF is going on there - thats a HID kit on OEM lights that aren't clear!!! they scatter the light everywhere.

crystal/clear headlights are better, projector lenses are awesome - but good luck finding those for a mk3!

Yeah i know what you mean but i was only gonna go for 5000k so they wont be blue so hopefully i wouldnt get that effect.

InPro do crystal headlights in clear and smoked with indicators. The indicators look to be part of the main unit, but I don't know. I don't know if they are projectors either. Personally, I don't like the look of them, bit marmite perhaps.

Sorry mate for the late reply i got my hid kit from a place called hids4u.com or .co.uk  try them they are very helpful plus they come with a years warranty but they can be expensive mine cost around £200 and also if you want to go for the most brightest one out there they are 6000k
