G40 Head gasket from G-Laderseite

Hello, I'm new to your forum so apologies if you've already done this to death, but has anybody got any thoughts on the G-Laderseite G40 head gasket ? (It's a Reinz Multilayer steel jobby with Ø77.5mm bore size, allegedly thinner for a bit more comp)Is it any good or is it something from a later Polo/Golf that I could get from GSF for a few quid ?

Probably just an Elring HG from a later mk4 1.6 polo

iv just taken delivery of my head set from g ladersite all looks good had no complaints fromm other people using it hope it helps

Samg40 used one on his g40 with 150bhp dynod and it never skipped a beat

I've rebuilt my last two engines with the said gasket, no probs at all and engine go's well with them.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a go. Any thoughts on Woessner forged pistons ? And while I'm thinking about it, any tips on sump baffles ? If I give my old gel a bit of a caning round a long, constant radius lefthander I can get the oil light to come on !

Polo performance parts do a windage tray to help avoid that!

Wossner do 4 different forged piston sets for the G40, all sticking with the OE comp ratio of 8:1
IIRC they are as follows:

Standard 75mm (1272cc)
Slight over bore 75.5mm (1289cc)
1mm overbore 76mm (1307cc)
2mm overbore 77mm (1341cc)

I could probably get you some prices on these, as my engine builder has a Wossner account.

You can get baffled sumps off german ebay, but are not too hard to make yourself. Definately need one of these if you like hurtling round circuits. Windage tray will help improve the performance slighty, but not sort out the oil buzzer issue.
