Whose telling you all this top advice about the G40?  Id ignore them!

matthg40

a vw garage in leicester lol well my engine cuts out when i put the car into service mode whats gone wrong

hayesey

can mean the ignition timing is out or another sensor is faulty.  Mine did it when it had a random ECU fault that I could only cure by replacing the ECU but go through the engine diagnosis FAQ first.  Checking the wiring loom is pretty important as these can be damaged and/or corroded these days.

sounds like a plan thanks for that matey could be like looking for a needle in a haystack then

hardchargin40

Not really a needle in a haystack.  The G40 engine is actually quite a simple engine system once you get your head round it. :)

thats the hard bit getting my head round it lol
