not sure what you mean really, takes about 30 seconds to do

Whose telling you all this top advice about the G40?  Id ignore them!

can mean the ignition timing is out or another sensor is faulty.  Mine did it when it had a random ECU fault that I could only cure by replacing the ECU but go through the engine diagnosis FAQ first.  Checking the wiring loom is pretty important as these can be damaged and/or corroded these days.

Not really a needle in a haystack.  The G40 engine is actually quite a simple engine system once you get your head round it.
