Was sent over to Germany this weekend for work, had a car which needed reworking at Ehra aka VW test track, its 2 straights are over 7 miles long! Its where Top Gear did the high speed test in the Veyron!

Wolfsburg is not far away so after the job was done i was able to nip over to the VW museum and also to the VW autostrat arena for a wander, as we turned up so late due to the work on the car taking a while we didn't get to see everything but still got a good selection of photos!

I lived over there a few years back, i remember getting off the plane and being like 'wow a mk1!'
after 20min i could have said it a 1000 times. so so many over there its crazy! engines are poor though, only get like 24mpg!

I went there back in September while i was touring Europe, ace place to be, bloody massive though. I thought the glass towers where they store the cars were ace and the underground tracks where the cars are moved around the site.

Was also nice to see when buying a VW you have the option to pick it up from autostrat and have a free VIP tour. Shame we don't have that sort of offer in the UK

Some nice pics aswell mate.

:'( Been away from that place for too long now. Last visited in 2004, but looks like there are a few more cars there now :) (there were no Mk.2 polo's there back then)
