g40 idling at 4500rpm

driving down a country lane yesterday my car decided it didnt want to stop.
I pulled over and switched the engine off, switched it back on and it went to 4500rpm as it does still now

the throttle cable is fine. any pipes come off?
help please... again.

could be a pipe come off, you'll have to have a look.  Does it seem to drive ok when you are driving it?  IF you put your foot down does it pull ok?

Check your throttle body isn't sticking open.
