nope. Rach has been following me most the time ive driven it and theres been no smoke reported!

The headgaskets brand new but i'll check it anyway.

Belt arrived today (cheers pete) so got that put on and reconnected the battery.
Seemed plenty of oil after the top up. Tried to fire her up and the engine would get to the point where it just started but then cut out. Not having much luck :-(

Sorry if this has been mentioned.

My G has been idling really badly and I got the fuel tank replaced (and whatever goes with it?!) and it seemed to help. It's not quite there but maybe an idea ....
