how about Darley Bridge near Matlock? there's a campsite there owned by the pub which is accross the road. its £12 per tent for 2 people, for every extra person in the tent its £2. just an idea.

I've got some cracking roads on my back doorstep (I live by "the triangle" that EVO use a lot!)

TBH I think we'll stick to the route we did last year just for familiarity and as the event is only in its second year. Plus it centres around near enough the middle of the country and I wouldnt mind another pint of that award winning ale! There will be plenty of time on the day for discussion about next years event! The EVO triangle is something I would love to drive at some point and it would be ace to do it with a load of G's so surely worth a chat about over a pint.

There is a route of last years day here http://www.polog40.co.uk/rally_vwnw_2008.php which will be the basic plan with some slight variations I'm sure. Hopefully we will have some better weather this year, although going on tonights weather I'm doubtful!

Anyway, we'll start another thread in a couple of weeks so people can let us know numbers and I can book the campsite etc. Not far off now really, will be upon us before we know it I'm sure!

I think it's on the week I'm holidaying in the Peaks anyway, I'll just have to convince the missus that we're taking the G40 instead of her Passat!

Indeed, our average speed must have been very low last year, especially with the weather. I still had a top day though. More the merrier imo, I think we had 8/10 cars last year. Would be good to think that we could get up to at least 15 this year.
