story is the cars off road to get alot of work dont to it.. well has been.

i bought a ta teknix manifold? from phil j, doesn't seem to be fittin right at all ?

anyone else had the problem !

i grinded away the part off the charger bracket.. but now it wont clear the Outlet?!!

hayesey

are you sure you've been sent the right manifold?

djtez

Robin

looks like the standard cheap manifolds from germany which are known to cause cleaerance problems on G's.
the PSD one and PPP ones have a kink in the first header to clear the charger.

djtez

:(

the first header JUST makes it
the second catches the charger outlet alot

is it possible for to heat it up give it a little bend ?

Robin

this is my PSD 4 branch, the routing for the headers look completely different!

djtez

the first and second flow together
where as mine its second and third?

what the hell im i go do :(

i sure hope stainless bends well ?

Robin

to be honest i wouldn't start to bend it out the way if it fouls by quite a bit, it is clear that the manifold doesn't suit a G therefore send it back , get your wedge back and put your name down for a PPP one which is the exact same as the PSD.

djtez

hmm see the problem there is now i've had the manifold for over 6 months

has some scoring whilst fittin

and also had to chop a wee bit off the exit pipe to fit onto psd center ?

Robin

in that case it looks like you are a bit f'ed then.

looking at your pictures it seems to me that you'll need to move header 2 by a fair chunk to get it to clear the lader outlet and to make matters worse its hitting the dome rather than the webbing on the outlet.

you could give it a wack to clear it but you'll be restricting the exhaust flow by a fair amount if you gotta make lots of clearance!

djtez

hm. maby cut and shut then ..

ill need to do some calculations and see wat the outcome is..
so disapointed

Hmm bit of a dilema, will this fit on to a GT (i guess so)? If so might be worth putting it up for sale on ClubPolo and seing what you can get for it rather than cutting it about and risking f'ing it big time...

Robin

cut your losses, sell it on and get a proper one! if you are going to do it then you might as well do it properly
