Debadged Grills

Yo Dudes,

i have just brought my first car and have been researching into the background of the car and have found out it was a g40 so i thought i would join the g40 club. but any way getting to the point i have just ordered a grill of ebay, its a debadged grill for a mk3 but my car is only a mk2 with the facelift which i just noticed so have i screwed up or will it fit

Confusingly, we tend to call the facelifted Mk2 (2F) a Mk3 over here, and the all new 6N gets called a Mk4.
