iv just go a piper VPHBP285H i was just whudring do i need a Verna pulley to run this cam and i went to fit it and it just looks up on the cam so carnt tern engen over to check timeing have i mest up is this to big a cam or am i doing sumert rong hers a link with more info on cam  http://www.pipercams.co.uk/pipercams/www/product_print.php?pid=VPHBP285H

It shouldn't be locking up at those specs. Check the timing again.

 Are you running this cam on a turbo engine?

The VPHBP300H needs the tappet buckets relieving slightly otherwise it fouls on the head, but the VPHBP285H should be okay if timed up properly.

no its on a full blended g charger iv put stander cam back in and runs fine i was after the G40BP270H cam but cum across VPHBP285H cheep is it relly for turbo set ups
