Wouldnt go to jabba for a rebuild, just the porting
theres an ngk spark plug equivlent to the bosch ones as they are £50 odd a set, the part number is on here somewhere, and they are just as good but half the price
id get genuine qauntum oil, 10w 40 semi, vw approve it and its only about £15 for 5 litres at tps!

Yes, if i remember correctly i got quoted £240 to port the scroll, outlet and inlet to r1 spec
plus a complete rebuild kit from pete (inc top displacer bearing in the scroll) is £250 so still works out cheaper than jabba doing all the work and you know all the bearings are good

it seems like a daunting task, but once you start doing it, petes guide makes sense, and if you follow it word for word you wont go wrong think i paid £50 for all the tools needed, and its really rewarding once its finished

If I could find another charger that's in good condition I would do it myself. But I just don't feel confident taking my only charger apart.

Jabba prices were £495 plus shipping to get it serviced and ported. I know they don't do the top bearing but should that be caput? My charger looks like it has never been serviced. By word of mouth it's on about 80k.

If you want someone to do it for you JMR get good reviews on the Corrafo forum from the g60 boys. They've been doing laders for years.
