Sorry if it is a repeat post, but I will be soon getting my head rebuilt with large valves and was just wondering what ones to use?

the golf gti 8v valves are 33mm but maninshed uses 31mm ones because 33 are a bit too big and leaves the head prone to cracking.  jabbasport used to sell the 31mm ones, not sure they have any any more.
