offset help needed please
« on: March 26, 2013, 01:13:41 pm »
looking at some new wheels for my g40 and the front offset would be 43mm less on the rear and 30mm less on the front then the standard 5.5 bbs ra's , would this rub on the strut housing or create any other problems? thanks

when you say less im assuming you mean that the offsets will be lower than standard if this is the case then the wheels are likley to be around 0 to -15 et which means they will more than likley protrude the arches slightly this is assuming stadard offset is in the et35 region, if you want to get a little more percise then either google offset calcualtor or you can calculate it your self rembering that the et is the number of millimeters the mounting face of the wheel is away from the wheel centreline.

off the top of my head your looking at 30mm less clearance.on the inside of the wheel 20mm more poke out toward the arch go measure and see what you think. you definantly wont be able to run a stage 3 subframe with this.
