Hi does anyone around the shrewsbury/shropshire area have and engine hoist/crane I could borrow for a week? I will obviously pay to borrow it.
The tool hire place want a fortune.

I've got one but I'm no where near unfortunately. Out of interest how much are they charging?

Ahh no worries, and there after 30 for a day then just shy of £50 for a weekend and an extra £16 for each day added.
But I could buy one for £120 ish use it for however long I need it and the sell it on for about £100

Look on eBay. There are loads of people renting them out. Just need to find one in your area.
