underseals, inner and outer- cant find anywhere
« on: August 12, 2012, 01:29:48 pm »
basically, had a problem with a toe truck company, they smashed front end of my car and used a forklift on the g which has resulted in ripping all of my inner and outer seals and floor pans, i need to find some to give the company an estimate, but also it will fail an mot unless i have new ones, cant find them anywhere, even vw themselves dont sell them.

Anyone know anywhere you can source these parts from as if not it will have to be custom made,

cheers

Do Hadrians not do them? Have you asked any local bookshops?

I assume you're talking about sills? :)

TBH, if the inner and outer sills and floorpans all need replacing you're better off reshelling the car. Any mk3 Coupe shell can be used to make a G40.
Unpicking spotwelds from the floorpans, inner and outer sills and rejigging the chassis rails would cost a fortune in labour charges alone.
