WOT switch removal Plus any further 6psi boost switch tips
« on: April 03, 2012, 11:52:54 pm »
I've searched around and could'nt find any specific info for this, ive got a spare throttlebody which i'm practising doing the 6 psi boost switch on as the on throttle switch and WOT switch is broke. I cant seem to get the WOT out the throttle body do you have to take the spindle out? Its just the black lobe im having trouble with.

Cheers

Black lobe? You just undo three Phillips head screws which are made from cheese metal and pull the assembly out. The spindle will remain. Leave that it's fine.

Got the bit I removed from my tb on the shelf so can take a pic tomo

Mine was jammed - everything undone and still it wouldn't budge. I ran out of patience and knocked the black bit out in pieces.

I didn't remove the old switch from mine, it's still in there.  Just rerouted the wires to a boost switch.

My boost pressure switch is inside my TB like afew others so the extra room came in handy.
